The commercial layer above the cleanroom.

Clean rooms solved secure collaboration. They never solved the commerce: discovery, valuation, licensing, settlement. That gap is the whole product.

Clean rooms are good technology solving a real problem: secure collaboration between a small number of trusted parties. They are also, almost universally, commercially thin. That gap is not a flaw in clean rooms. It is the product we are building.

A venue is not a system

Walk through what a commercial data transaction actually requires: discover the right counterparty; benchmark what their data is worth; negotiate terms; permission access under a policy; deploy a workload; audit what happened; settle the money. A clean room covers, at most, the middle two steps. Everything before discovery and after audit happens in spreadsheets, email threads and bespoke contracts.

  • Discovery — who even has the data that moves my metric?
  • Valuation — what is it worth, relative to the alternatives?
  • Licensing — on what terms, for what purpose, in which jurisdiction?
  • Settlement — who gets paid what when four sellers contributed?

The commercial operating layer

GateHouse sits above clean rooms, warehouses and clouds, and stays clean-room agnostic wherever possible. We do not ask you to abandon the venues you trust. We wrap the commercial workflow around them: BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and existing clean rooms all become substrates the same commercial layer spans.

GateHouse is not a competitor to your clean room. It is the next evolution — the commercial system the venue was always missing.

Why neutrality matters

Warehouse-native marketplaces have real distribution and billing rails, but they deepen a single vendor’s moat: single-ecosystem lock-in, sell-side-only profiling, listing-centric data that still moves as tables. A commercial layer that spans substrates instead of deepening one of them is structurally different — and it is the only position from which two-sided, cross-cloud composition is even possible.

Completeness is the differentiator. Every adjacent category covers at most two of the seven steps. GateHouse covers all seven, in one system, above the venues you already run.
